What is the "Cent Off Issue"?

The Cent Off issue happens when rounding differences cause a minor mismatch in the total price. While the checkout and order details show consistent pricing, the breakdown of individual products might not add up exactly to the target bundle price.

How FoxSell Bundles Plus Calculates Bundle Pricing

FoxSell follows a consistent logic for pricing bundles, whether it’s:

Fixed Price for Mix and Match
Dynamic Price for Mix and Match
Mix and Match with Add-Ons (Bundle Price + Add-On Price)

Since add-ons and dynamic pricing are subject to variability with respect to the pricing, the bundle pricing is calculated at checkout in real-time.

Example of the Cent Off Issue

Scenario:

A shopper buys 3 products at $10 per bundle (original price per product: $5 each).
Shopper also add 2 extra products (Add-Ons) at $5 each.

Calculation Breakdown:

Total expected price: $10 (for bundle) + $10 (for add-ons) = $20

Bundle Breakdown

2x Product A: $5 each
1x Product B: $5 each

To split the $10 bundle price across these products:

Product A: $3.33 (x2)
Product B: $3.33 (x1)

Total: (3.33 * 2) + 3.33 = 6.66 + 3.33 = $9.99

Add-ons remain at $10 each, bringing the final total to $19.99 instead of $20.

This tiny discrepancy is due to decimal rounding.
