How to set up Guided Steps Bundle Builder on your store

Guided Steps Bundle Builder is a Mix & Match template for step-by-step bundle flows. Shoppers move through each step, choose the required products, and complete the bundle on the storefront.

Before you start

Make sure your store has access to the newer FoxSell dashboard experience.

This template works best when you want shoppers to build a bundle in a guided flow, such as choosing a foundation, concealer, nail polish, and optional add-ons.

Step 1: Choose the Guided Steps Bundle Builder template

1. Open FoxSell Bundles from your Shopify admin.
2. Click Create a New Bundle.
3. Choose Mix & Match.
4. Select Guided Steps Bundle Builder.
5. Review the product page and checkout preview.
6. Click Use This Template.

Step 2: Install the template files on your theme

After you choose the template, FoxSell prompts you to install the required theme files.

1. Click Install Template.
2. Select the Shopify theme where you want to use the bundle.
3. Click Install.
4. Wait for the setup to complete.

You can install the template on a development theme first if you want to test before using it on your live theme.

Step 3: Add bundle details, steps, and pricing

1. Enter the bundle name and storefront title.
2. Choose a pricing strategy:

• Fixed price
• Discount percentage

3. Click Add step.
4. Add a step label and description.
5. Choose the quantity rule for the step:

• Exact number
• Minimum and maximum
• Maximum: as many as possible

6. Select the products for that step.
7. Repeat this for each step in the guided flow.
8. Optional: add products that should be included automatically or shown as an add-on step.

For example, you can create a skincare bundle where shoppers choose one foundation, one concealer, at least one nail polish, and optional lipstick add-ons.

Step 4: Save the bundle and open the Shopify product

1. Review the bundle summary.
2. Click Save.
3. After the bundle is saved, FoxSell creates a Shopify product for the bundle.
4. Click View Bundle in Shopify Admin.

The generated Shopify product acts as the storefront landing page for this bundle.

Step 5: Assign the bundle product template

1. In Shopify admin, open the bundle product that FoxSell created.
2. Set the product status to Active.
3. Add product images if needed.
4. In the Theme template setting, choose foxsell-step.
5. Click Save.

Step 6: Test the storefront experience

Open the bundle product on your storefront and confirm:

• The Guided Steps Bundle Builder appears on the product page.
• Customers can move through each step.
• Product selections and quantity rules work as expected.
• Add-ons or automatically included items behave as expected.
• The bundle summary updates as products are selected.
• The Add to Cart button becomes available when the bundle is ready.

Step 7: Test the checkout experience

Add a completed bundle to cart and continue to checkout.

Confirm that the checkout shows the bundle product and the selected bundle items together.

Optional: Add the section to another product template

If you do not want to use the pre-built template, you can add the Guided Steps Bundle Builder section to another compatible product template.

1. In Shopify admin, go to Online Store > Themes.
2. Click Customize on the theme you installed the template on.
3. Open the product template where you want the bundle builder to appear.
4. Click Add section.
5. Search for and select FoxSell Step.
6. Save the theme.

Optional: Customize the storefront section

You can customize the FoxSell Step section from the Shopify theme editor.

Common settings include:

• Section padding
• Wrapper class
• Brand colors
• Border radius
• Number of products shown on mobile and desktop
• Variant selector style
• Color swatches
• Display text
